Kremlin Bans Officials From Using iPhones

The Russian government has ordered Kremlin officials to get rid of iPhones. The newspaper Kommersant reported that the devices would be vulnerable to Western secret services.

Throw them away or give them to your children before April 1, Sergei Kirijenko of the Kremlin’s presidential branch said.

Other smartphones may be provided.

President Vladimir Putin says he does not have a smartphone at all but occasionally uses the internet, according to the Kremlin spokesman.
