Johnson Returns to London: British House of Commons Reunited

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson flew back to London early this morning from New York after the Supreme Court ruled yesterday that he had suspended parliament in violation of the law.

Now that the debates are resumed, the big question is what steps the opposition wants to take against the prime minister.

Parliament President John Bercow welcomed the parliamentarians in the “House of Commons” at the resumption of work. The House of Commons, where Johnson has no majority, meets again today, without the prospect of an end to the bottomless political crisis in the United Kingdom surrounding the Brexit.

Johnson will address Parliament later today about the Supreme Court ruling that his parliamentary suspension was unlawful. He disagrees with the decision and is determined to lead the United Kingdom out of the European Union on 31 October with or without an exit agreement.
