Amazon Games has announced that it will open a new game studio in Montreal, Canada.
The company wants to focus on the studio on AAA titles, which are blockbusters that are made with a lot of budget for a large audience.
Initially, the studio will develop a new online multiplayer. The studio will be led by veterans who worked on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege at game studio Ubisoft.
Six Siege is a shooting game that has been played by more than 70 million people since its launch.
Xavier Marquis is one of the veterans who is now starting as a creative director.
“Building on eight years of experience with Siege, we are excited to get started with a blank canvas and the creative freedom to create a unique experience in the world of multiplayer,” said Marquis.
