Amazon is Looking for Corona Tests to Keep Staff Working
The American giant web store Amazon is looking for corona tests to keep its employees working. According to an internal document, the company is discussing this with two American test makers.
Amazon employees in various warehouses have rebelled in recent weeks over fears of being infected with the new coronavirus at work.
Amazon is said to have already spoken to the directors of Abbott Laboratories and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
The directors are said to have pledged to cooperate even though they are currently required to provide all corona tests to the U.S. government. Specifically, Amazon plans to begin testing in a warehouse adjacent to its Seattle headquarters.
COVID-19 has already been identified in nineteen different Amazon warehouses in the United States.
Warehouse workers in the U.S. and Europe will receive mouth masks next week. They are also checked for fever.
