Dr Eric Amidi Answers-Is It Possible That We Create The Reality?

This is perhaps the most life-changing question you can ever ask. The answer can cover wide range of events in the world. If you ever ask that question at subatomic level, the Quantum Physics answers it with resounding “yes”.

Everything that happens at subatomic level is created in part by how we observe it. In a way, subatomic objects don’t have an objective and independent reality.

To paraphrase Niels Bohr, one of the founders of the Quantum Physics, everything that we consider as real is made up of things that aren’t real.

But, you may say: “Subatomic objects don’t have a solid reality. That’s fine, but how about my reality? How about the events that happen in my life? How much of that reality is created by me?”

That’s a question whose answer can change your life.

Often times, we get so caught up in the ways of our conscious mind that it makes us see everything in a logical and causal order. That’s what our conscious mind does. It takes all the data it receives from our senses and tries to put them in logical and temporal order.

So what we see in our daily life is a serious of events based on cause and effect. They seem logical, solid, and inescapable. In a way, the reality seems objective and we don’t seem to have any control over it.

However, there’s a greater part of our mind that operates in a different manner. That part is our subconscious mind. Our subconscious does not care about the logical order of events or even causality. The subconscious mind is not temporal. An event from your childhood is as real and currently present in your subconscious mind as an event that happened yesterday. In fact, to your subconscious mind, what you imagine or dream is as real as any experience you’ve had.

It would be a great mistake to assume our reality is mere creation of our logical and conscious decisions made by our conscious mind.

The greatest impact on our lives and perhaps our destiny is made by our subconscious mind. The same way that our subconscious mind is impacted by our experiences, especially when we are most suggestible such as in childhood, it can also impact and shape our future.

What is not immediately apparent is the fact that a huge portion of what perceive and attribute to reality of the world is mere creation of our mind.

After all, what we receive from the external world is nothing but signals and raw data. These signals get reconstructed in our brain into what we believe to be the reality out there.

The brain construction of reality is more important than the initial data received.

But how do we verify this constructed reality?

The way we verify the reality of the world is through confirmation by other people. In a way, reality is a consensus. What majority of people believes in as a fact starts being our reality as well, no matter how wrong or unproven that belief may be.

In fact, what separates successful people from the herd is their stubborn belief in what they believe to be true. That belief becomes their destiny.

We have the greatest reality-shaping tool of all at our disposal; our subconscious mind.

To reshape our reality we must reshape our subconscious mind, and to do that we must learn to make our mind more suggestible again as we once were during childhood, but this time in a controlled manner; in a manner that we desire.

John Lilly once said: “In the province of the mind, what one believes to be true either is true or becomes true.”

However, this belief is a belief deeply seated in the subconscious mind.

There are various ways to open the door to your subconscious mind, ranging from rituals and chants to modern day meditation techniques. The underlying principle is to shut down the conscious mind and suspend your disbelief, even if for a short period of time.

The healthiest options are relaxation and mindfulness. As Dr Eric Amidi explains when you practice stillness and stop all the chatter in your brain, you allow your mind to be self-reflective and have an opportunity to reshape and rewire not based on external signals, but based on your internal desires. Desires that you imagine, visualize, and deeply feel will reshape your subconscious mind and set your destiny, and as John Lilly puts it, they become true.

Once you have impressed you subconscious mind with your desire, all you have to do is to let go to allow your subconscious mind direct you along the right path. This practice is something that “happy go lucky” people follow all the time, without even knowing. Dr Eric Amidi has an article explaining the secret of happy go lucky people in detail.

So can you create your own reality?

You bet! You have been creating your own reality all your life. You can continue doing that but this time the way you desire.
