US Military Plane Crashes in Mississippi. A military aircraft with 16 people aboard is crashed in the US state of Mississippi. All 16 occupants, including members of the US Navy Corps, have got killed.
According to local media, there was an explosion aboard the Lockheed KC-130 Hercules aircraft for the crash.
The wreckage is spread over a wide area in fields approximately 140 kilometers north of Jackson, the capital of Mississippi. The authorities say it’s likely to be an accident. It caused a huge fire on the ground.
There were several bombs, according to a policeman because the plane also transported a lot of ammunition.
Local media have pointed out that the KC-130 is also used as an aircraft that could refuel other devices and thus could have a lot of fuel on board.
